Held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, the 56th annual San Francisco Pride Parade brought approximately one million people to the City over Pride weekend. The parade included more than 300 contingents, including community groups, performers, civic leaders, nonprofits, and businesses. The Rotary Club of San Francisco participated in the 2026 San Francisco Pride Parade as part of the Rotary District 5150 Float Contingent and helped sponsor the District 5150 float.
Rotary District 5150’s participation was a visible expression of Rotary’s values of fellowship, inclusion, dignity, and service. Approximately 75 Rotarians, family members, friends, and supporters took part through the Steering Committee, parade march, float decorating, and after party. Participants represented clubs from across San Francisco, Marin, and San Mateo Counties.
Members of the Rotary Club of San Francisco represented the Club on the District 5150 Pride Steering Committee by supporting the planning and coordination of Rotary’s participation. Special thanks go to Immediate Past President Frank Yoke for his leadership and steady work with the Steering Committee in helping to bring Rotary’s Pride participation to life.
The day began early, with the float decorating committee arriving at 9:00 AM to prepare the District 5150 float. From decorating and staging to marching and celebrating, Rotarians showed up with energy, teamwork, and pride. A dozen members of the Rotary Club of San Francisco joined the parade and after party, making the day a strong showing for our Club.
Following the parade, the celebration continued at an after party held at Patrick & Co. A special shout out goes to Past President Jim Patrick for generously hosting the party and providing a welcoming place for Rotarians and friends to gather, relax, and continue the fellowship after the parade.
From decorating the float in the morning to gathering after the parade at Patrick & Co., the day reflected the best of Rotary fellowship: showing up, working together, and celebrating community. The Rotary Club of San Francisco is grateful to District 5150, the Pride Steering Committee, the float decorating volunteers, Frank Yoke, Jim Patrick, and everyone who helped make this year’s celebration a success.
