The Rotary Club of San Francisco is a member of Rotary District 5150. Rotary District 5150 is a member of Rotary Zone 27. On July 17 and 18, 2026, Rotary Zones 26 and 27 offered the Big West District Team Workshops in Reno, Nevada. TRF Trustee Vice Chair Vicki Puliz from the Rotary Club of Sparks, Nevada; Rotary International Director and Past District 5190 Governor Wyn Spiller from the Rotary Club of Grass Valley, California; and Rotary International Director-Elect and Past District 5300 Governor John Chase from the Rotary Club of Boulder City, Nevada welcomed us both days. The workshops offered were the following: Membership (covering engagement and retention), Public Image (telling Rotary's story with clarity and purpose), Foundation (emphasizing relational experiences to enhance and give meaning to giving), and Youth Services (running effective, Interact, RYLA, and Youth Exchange programs; Youth Protection policy; and the art of facilitation).

  • RYLA Director Todd St Vrain from the Rotary Club of San Francisco.
Each of us who attended returned with new ideas to align priorities and grow Rotary in membership, public image, foundation, and youth services. 
 
David Dye along with Debbie Ford from the Rotary Club of Sandpoint in Idaho and Chair of the Big West Zone Rotary Youth Services Task Force Chris Miller from the Rotary Club of Los Gatos Morning in California led the Youth Services Workshop for 1.5 days and covered topics such as running effective Interact, RYLA, and Youth Exchange programs; Youth Protection policy; and the skill and art of facilitation.

Dora Dye attended the Foundation workshop where PDG Jayne was one of the presenters. Our District 5150 Foundation team will be sharing information from this workshop as our Rotary year unfolds.
