Completion of Red Badge
Carlo De la Sancha Verduzco (Healthcare: Physician | University of California San Francisco) completed his red badge requirements and is now a full member of our Club. Congratulations to Carlo! Join Carlo and fellow Rotarians at this DEI Event in January 2026.
Vice President of Membership Margaret Miley (Hospitality: Hotels | Retired) removed the red ribbon from the membership badge of Carlo De la Sancha Verduzco.

Carlo De la Sancha Verduzco shared with us his work as a pathologist and the "unexpected world behind every diagnosis". He discussed the importance of pathology:

Maurice Rivers (Nonprofit Management | OMI Cultural Participation Project) shared with us his work at the OMI Cultural Participation Project. Their mission is to promote unity and celebrate diversity within the OMI and broader San Francisco District 11 community, and by creating and supporting artistic, cultural, social, educational, and community events.
New Member Inducted 
Dan Joraanstad (Financial Services: Advising | Retired) joined President Frank to induct Monica Sather (Law: Employment-based Immigration | Van Der Hout LLP). Monica's husband, Wuy Kim, joined the induction as well. Monica's mentor in Rotary is President Frank Yoke. Rotarians in today's audience pledged to support Monica on her Rotary journey, and she is looking forward to expanding her community via Rotary. Please welcome Monica when you see her at our meetings and events.

United Nation's 80th Anniversary
Save the date of Thursday, December 11, 2025 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the 1945 signing of the United Nations Charter in San Francisco. Rotary International President Francesco Arezzo will be present in San Francisco for this Celebration, and you are all invited. See story and registration information in this issue of Grindings.
