
President Sunny Singh (Financial Services: Advising | PK Wealth Management) rang the Rotary bell and called his final meeting to order at 12:16 PM. He welcomed those online and those attending in person at the Peninsula Ballroom in the Hotel Nikko.
Visiting Rotarians and Guests
Today's Visiting Rotarians were Eric Bosh of the Rotary Club of Mexia, Texas; Past District Governor Gary Chow from the Rotary Club of South San Francisco; Joel Valdes from the Rotary Club of Manila, and Mary Kay Kennedy from the Rotary Club of Menlo Park who is the wife of Jim Kennedy (Interior Design | James Kennedy Design). President Sunny introduced his guests - Raymond Walia and Diana Mendoza Neri, and Maureen O’Shea (Governmental Relations | Retired) introduced her guest - Eddie Espinoza. Attending online was Anne Marie Forbus who is the wife of JT Forbus (Accounting | Bogdan & Frasco).
Wine Auction
Prior to today's luncheon, there was a wine auction. President Sunny thanked the following for organizing and running the auction: Christopher Wiseman (Nonprofit Management | Glaucoma Research Foundation), Mary Liu (Real Estate: Sales | JM Real Estate Group), Paul Vazquez (Nonprofit Administration | Alliance for Smiles), Nancy Graydon (Development | Glaucoma Research Foundation), and JT Forbus.

President Sunny reminded members to participate in the Visioning Survey emailed on June 12 and due by June 28. Flag Exchanges
There was a flag exchange with Eric Bosh of the Rotary Club of Mexia, Texas. Jessica Hansen (Nonprofit Management | Alliance for Smiles) presented flags acquired at the 2024 Rotary International Convention in Singapore from the countries of Kenya and India.
New Club Pin
Everyone attending in person today received a new Club pin designed by President Sunny. The pin depicts San Francisco's iconic cityscape and includes California poppies and coastal redwood trees as well as the number 2 to represent our being the second oldest Rotary Club in the world.

2023-2024 Year in Review
President Sunny began by sharing the Club goals that he had set in June 2023 at the Board retreat. One goal that he had wanted to achieve was to create a "pleasant experience" for all members, guests, and friends. He quoted Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” President Sunny added that being Club President has been a great icebreaker on dates.
Others who spoke to honor President Sunny were Past President Mary Liu, Past President Rhonda Poppen (Grant Writing | GRANTdog) via Zoom, Past President Christopher Wiseman, and President-Elect Bob Hermann, Jr. (Information Technology: Administration | Retired).
President Sunny congratulated our Club for achieving or exceeding many goals this past year in all areas including service, fellowship, participation in Rotary Action groups and District events, leadership development and training, communication and public image, mentoring and leading youth, and giving to the Annual Fund or contributing as a Bequest Society Member or as a Benefactor. Of note was this milestone: The fundraising goal for 2023-2024 was $100,000, but we exceeded and raised $150,000 for The Rotary Foundation and $7,311 for the San Francisco Rotary Foundation.

Celebrating President Sunny Singh
President-Elect Nominee Frank Yoke III (Development | Serra Residential Center, Inc.) took over the meeting to celebrate President Sunny's tenure as our Club's 115th Club President. PEN Frank talked about the successful picnic on June 15 to celebrate President Sunny and thanked PDG Eric Schmautz (Banking: Management | Retired) for being the grill master, Alisha Marfatia (Information Technology: E-Commerce | EvolveWare) for managing the potluck and the event, and Margaret Miley, Maureen O'Shea, and Ann Daugherty (Financial Services: Private Trading | IBN Financial Services) for helping wherever needed at the picnic.
PEN Frank also thanked the following for today's celebration: JT Forbus, Margaret Miley, Christopher Wiseman, Mary Liu, and Ann Daugherty.
District Governor Laine Hendricks (Public Relations and Marketing | County of Marin) joined via Zoom to recognize and honor President Sunny and our Club for extraordinary generosity, hard work, and dedication
Past President JT Forbus recounted with humor how he had approached Sunny about being Club President because of Sunny's outstanding abilities in dance and our Club's ongoing interest in Sunny's dating life.
