President Frank thanked District 5150 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Chair and Club Member Scott Plakun (Management Consulting | The Plakun Group) for organizing and leading the special visit to the Black Spaces: Reclaim & Remain exhibit at the Oakland Museum of California on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Alliana Lili Yang
Alliana Lili Yang, a 15-year-old classically trained vocalist, actor, dancer, and scholar based in the San Francisco Bay Area, joined to talk briefly about her career and to invite us to her upcoming performances.

Global Grant Presentation
President-Elect Ozan Yasavur (Engineering: Mechanical | Frank M. Booth, Inc.) talked about the Global Grant Project recently completed with the Rotary Club of Ankara-Bahçelievler. Our Club served as the International Host. A powerful earthquake struck on February 6, 2023 in Türkiye. The purposes of this Project were to:
- ensure continous access to clean water for Antakya residents.
- safely store purified drinking water.
- prevent water loss and protect resources.
- build a sustainable and hygienic infrastructure.

President Frank shared the following activities:
- District Assembly: Registration for the District Assembly to be held on March 21, 2026 is now open. This annual assembly provides a great deal of training and planning for the Rotary Year that begins on July 1, 2026. All Club members are invited, and all Club leaders are strongly encouraged to attend. Our Club will pay for the registration of Club members. - Climate Justice Service Project: Dr. Kai Burrus (Education: University | San Francisco State University) invited us to the Native Plant Nursery Work Day on March 14, 2026.

- 2026 Emergency Services Day: David Dye (Management Consulting | Retired) gave a brief history of our Club's involvement with Emergency Services Day and invited everyone to attend the 2026 Emergency Services Day on April 23, 2026 and/or participate in the sponsorship opportunities. Guest Speaker
President Frank introduced today's speaker — Sharon Fanto, whom President Frank has known and worked with in the past. Sharon is an experienced coach who talked about how to be a better leader, how to be more resilient in the face of adversity, and how our empathy can give us the courage to achieve. She shared about her journey through the corporate world and how her faith led her to ever stronger relationships and success.
Those who attended today's meeting in person received a free copy of Sharon Fanto's book entitled Stronger Than the Storm: 4 Frameworks for Resilient Leadership, thanks to the generosity of President Frank and Larry Booth (Engineering: Mechanical | Retired, Frank M. Booth, Inc.). President Frank thanked Sharon Fanto and announced that 100 children would be inoculated against polio in her name.
