Dan Joraanstad (Financial Services: Advising | Retired) was honored as Rotarian of the Month for September 2025. Dan joined our Club on January 15, 2008 and has been Vice President of Membership and President of the San Francisco Rotary Foundation. He continues to serve on the Membership Committee. This year, Dan is leading The Arc Thanksgiving. Congratulations to Dan!

First Graduates of Servant Leadership Program
Congratulations to President Frank and Vice President of Club Service Ann Daugherty (Financial Services: Private Trading | IBN Financial Services) for graduating from the first District 5150 Servant Leadership for Rotarians Program on October 4, 2025. Past President Mary Liu (Real Estate: Sales | JM Real Estate Group) was one of the faculty members of this Leadership Program.

United Nation's 80th Anniversary
Save the date of Thursday, December 11, 2025 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the 1945 signing of the United Nations Charter in San Francisco. Rotary International President Francesco Arezzo will be present in San Francisco for this Celebration, and you are all invited. See story toward the beginning of this issue of Grindings.
District Governor Visit
Today was the Official Visit of the District Governor to our Club. President Frank introduced Assistant Governor Erik Scheller from the Rotary Club of Fisherman's Wharf. AG Erik Scheller introduced District 5150 Governor Mitone Griffiths from the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay.

DG Mitone closed by stressing the importance of Membership Engagement and growing our Club. President Frank thanked District Governor Mitone Griffiths and announced that 100 children would be inoculated against polio in her name.
