I am honored to serve as the 117th President of our Rotary Club for the upcoming 2025-2026 year. Thank you for your faith in my abilities to serve as your President. It is with great pride that I step into this role, knowing the rich history and legacy that the Rotary Club of San Francisco has as the second oldest Rotary Club in the world. Since 1908, the Rotary Club of San Francisco has made an impact in our community and around the world. You continue to prove that Rotarians are People of Action. The legacy and power that we collectively have to make a difference in the world is evident to me every day. Thank you for your service and belief in the founding principles of Rotary:
- Is it the Truth?
- Is it Fair to all concerned?
- Will it build Goodwill and Better Friendships?
- Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?
These guiding principles are as valid today as they were 120 years ago.
2025-2026 will be an amazing journey as we walk together to serve the world. We will support 27 service projects in our community and across the globe. This reflects your passion; I cannot wait to see how these projects develop. These are great opportunities for all to engage in these wonderful endeavors. You will learn more about our service projects throughout this year. $225,000 will be invested in our projects thanks to the San Francisco Rotary Foundation and District Designated Funds.
The 2025-2026 Rotary International Theme is United for Good. This message describes what People of Action should do. Priorities that I will share throughout the year will include: Engagement in our activities; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; International Service; promoting our service projects; and involving our community in the passions that we have.
Let me thank each of you for what you have done over your Rotary Journey and what you will do over the next year. I look forward to what we will accomplish together.
Please join me in registering for my first meeting, which will be held at noon at the Hotel Nikko on July 8. For those unable to attend in person, I encourage you to participate via Zoom. Your presence is invaluable.
