President's Message
Hello Rotary Family!

Wow! What a year it has been! As my time as President winds down, I just want to take a moment to express how truly grateful I am for each and every one of you. This journey has been unforgettable, and it's all thanks to you.

Looking back, I'm not just proud of what we've accomplished together; I'm moved by the laughter, the teamwork, and the genuine connections we've built. It wasn't just about the projects and the meetings — it was the chats, the high-fives, and the shared moments of joy that really made this year special.

Your passion and commitment have been the real driving forces behind our successes. And while I’m excited to see where our next president takes us, I'm going to cherish the memories we've made this year forever.

Heidi Kühn Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
Congratulations to Heidi Thomas Kühn who has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize by the International Eurasia Press Fund, an independent and international, non-governmental organization based in Baku, Azerbaijan. Heidi is being recognized as the Founder of Roots of Peace and honored for her efforts to turn MINES TO VINES — replacing landmines with vineyards and orchards worldwide. Planting over seven million trees on former minefields, she has impacted the lives of millions of farmers and families living in war-torn lands worldwide.

Heidi along with her sons, Tucker and Christian, and Roots of Peace are corporate members of our Club. Heidi's grandfather, William Thomas, was president of our Club from 1941-1942. In 1997, Heidi made a toast in her living room that the world might go from “Mines to Vines,” launching Roots of Peace

The winners of Nobel Peace Prizes will be announced in October. We are rooting for Heidi!
