For the 2026-2027 Rotary Year, the Rotary Club of San Francisco and the San Francisco Rotary Foundation have made $10,000 available for emergency grant funding.

 

This new funding opportunity allows the Club and Foundation to respond to important needs that arise during the Rotary year. These funds were intentionally left undesignated during the grant approval process between March and June 2026 so they can be used for timely projects that may not have been known or anticipated during the regular grant review process.

 

These funds are available only during the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year, from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, and cannot be carried over into a future fiscal year.

 

Eligible projects may include humanitarian needs around the world, such as disaster relief, as well as other important initiatives the Club feels strongly about. A service component is encouraged for emergency grant requests, but it is not required.

 

Members who identify a potential emergency or timely funding need should follow this process:

All emergency grant requests should receive a decision within 15 business days, unless additional questions or follow-up are needed during the review process.

 

This new emergency grant fund gives the Rotary Club of San Francisco and the San Francisco Rotary Foundation greater flexibility to act when meaningful service opportunities arise. It also reflects Rotary’s commitment to responding thoughtfully and quickly when communities need support.
