LUNCHEON MEETING HIGHLIGHTS October 3, 2023: Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia - What You Need to Know
President Sunny Singh (Financial Services: Advising | PK Wealth Management) called today's meeting to order at 12:15 PM and welcomed those online and those attending in person at the Anzu Restaurant in the Hotel Nikko.
 
Senator Dianne Feinstein
President Sunny paid tribute to our member and US Senator Dianne Feinstein who passed away in her Georgetown brownstone on September 29, 2023. While mayor of San Francisco, she was among one of the first four women inducted into our Club. See more information on Senator Feinstein here.

The Arc San Francisco Entrepreneurship Program: starting October 5, 2023
The Arc San Francisco seeks Rotarians to help participants at The Arc SF prepare "pitch" presentations on what they have learned from their new entrepreneurship program. You may assist as either a mentor or a panelist or both. Hours are flexible.
 
 
SPECIAL EVENT October 17, 2023: Second Annual Rotary Fashion Show - Glitz and Glamour
You are invited to our Second Annual Rotary Fashion Show - Glitz & Glamour! The Fashion Show is open to all. In addition to the glamour, there will be fun, fine food, and plenty of fellowship. There will also be door prizes. This is an afternoon that you will not want to miss! Please note that this event is in person only and begins at 11 AM.
 
DISTRICT EVENT October 21, 2023: The Hunt to End Polio - An Urban Scavenger Hunt
Join Rotarians from Rotary International District 5150 on this part-scavenger hunt, part-treasure hunt to commemorate World Polio Day.  The event will conclude with prizes, food, and fellowship at the Cannery in Fisherman’s Wharf. Adventurers of all ages are welcome! Costumes are encouraged (including costume contest prizes).
 
SERVICE OPPORTUNITY November 4, 2023: Walk to End Alzheimer's
Join the members of the Rotary Club of San Francisco, their families, and their friends for the Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Preregistration for the Walk is required. After the Walk, there is an optional dim sum lunch.
 
SERVICE OPPORTUNITY November 7, 2023: Family House
Join Family House, a new grant partner for the Rotary Club of San Francisco, for an opportunity to set up, serve, and clean up dinner for their community. Event is limited to 10 people, and Rotarians may bring a guest. All must register. Volunteers are encouraged to wear Rotary-branded attire that can get dirty, as well as layers to be prepared for multiple weather conditions. Dinners will be served outside on the Family House patio.
CLUB SOCIAL and DEI EVENT November 12, 2023: Diwali Celebration
Join the party as our Club celebrates Diwali, India’s Festival of Lights. Diwali symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. After a delicious Indian lunch, we’ll watch the hit Bollywood movie Om Shanti Om, and then enjoy some traditional Indian sweets. All Club members, our families, and our friends are welcome.
 
E-MEETING November 14, 2023: John Rothmann and Politics in 2023
KGO 810 radio talk show host and political commentator John Rothmann, one of our most popular speakers, will discuss his thoughts about the political events in 2023. John always welcomes our questions. This is a Zoom-only meeting.
