Rotarians and staff gathered this evening to stuff 45 diaper bags to be distributed at the Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP) baby showers on December 6, 2023. President Sunny Singh, Jim Patrick, Jo Patrick, and Rhonda Poppen of the Rotary Club of San Francisco joined Shellena Eskeridge and Sharon Bechtol of HPP in the assembly of diaper bags. This was an opportunity to give back to the incredible need of homeless or housing insecure families in San Francisco.
President Sunny Singh (Financial Services: Advising | PK Wealth Management), sporting a festive, holiday mustache, called today's meeting to order at 12:15 PM and welcomed those online and those attending in person at the Anzu Restaurant in the Hotel Nikko.

New Member: Anthony Alioto (Nonprofit Administration | Catholic Charities) was inducted as a new member of our corporate member - Catholic Charities. He formerly ran the family-owned US Restaurant and confirmed that all the Alioto's in San Francisco hail from the same Sicilian village, and they all consider each other cousins! He was welcomed with the traditional "We Will!"
Club members, friends, and family are all invited to celebrate Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, at a candle-lighting ceremony plus snacks with wine and other beverages. Tickets are $10 each, but there is no charge for children aged 12 and younger. The deadline to register is 5 PM on Friday, December 8.
Join us at the Hotel Nikko for this year’s Holiday Party and Annual Meeting. This is always the most festive and fun-filled luncheon of the year, so bring your family, friends, and business associates to celebrate with us!
Come and enjoy nature, fresh air, and fellowship as we do some gardening to improve and enhance Rotary Meadow - a garden of native plants our Club planted at the summit of Mount Sutro in 2004. Participation is limited to a maximum of 20 people. Advanced registration is required.
Help us build connections and memories through a holiday celebration. We are looking for volunteers to help cook, serve, wrap presents, and engage with clients at the annual Holiday Party of St. Joseph's Family Center. It is a wonderful, festive occasion to provide families with an opportunity to come together and enjoy the holiday season.
We are not meeting on December 19 and December 26. In addition, Grindings will not be published on December 24, 2023, but publication will resume on December 31, 2023.

Shirmila Cooray will share the mission of De Marillac Academy, a tuition-free Catholic academy in the Tenderloin serving 4th through 8th graders and continuing support as these students advance into high school and early adulthood.
