I am pleased to announce the members of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Rotary Foundation (SFRF) who will be serving with me in 2024-2025.
On the Executive Committee are Christopher Wiseman, President; Robin Azevedo, Vice President; Tom Brunner, Treasurer; and Frank Yoke, Secretary. Since Frank is also the President-Elect of our Club, he automatically becomes an Ex-Officio member of the SFRF Board along with Bob Hermann due to his role as President of our Club.
The Members at Large are Emily Borland, Gary Dales, JT Forbus, Peter Logan, Mary Liu, Alisha Marfatia, Luis Moran, and Sunny Singh.
The San Francisco Rotary Foundation was established in 1959. With an endowment of more than $5 million, it provided over $200,000 in grants to support Club projects for the 2024-2025 Rotary year. To learn more about SFRF, visit this page.

In January 2024, we participated at Rotary International’s Mega Polio Eradication Mission in India. The tour was for us ever changing and transformative to both the children we served and the people we met. See our story here.

In the heart of Mt. Sutro Forest 900 feet above downtown San Francisco lies Rotary Meadow, filled with native plants and offering an idyllic destination for anyone seeking a brief respite from the noise and energy of our beautiful urban city that lies below. Rotary Meadow commemorates both the 100th anniversary of Rotary International as well as the role of our Rotary Club in the founding of the United Nations in San Francisco in 1945.
On Saturday, August 10, 2024, Dan Davies led several Rotarians in a gardening and weeding project at Rotary Meadow. Much of the work involved cutting back non-native blackberry bushes and other invasive plants to make room for native plants so they can thrive in their natural habitat.
President Bob Hermann, Jr. (Information Technology: Administration | Retired) rang the Rotary bell at 12:15 PM and began today's meeting at the Anzu Restaurant in the Hotel Nikko. He welcomed those online and those attending in person. He also shared today's agenda.

Red Badge Completed
Sue Robbins (Nonprofit Administration | Catholic Charities SF) and Yana Sharma (Software Sales | IBM) completed their red badge requirements and are now full members of our Club. Congratulations to Sue and Yana!
2024-2025 District 5150 Governor Steve Wright will talk about how this year's Rotary International theme, The Magic of Rotary, impacts our District and our Club.
Join us for our Club's NEXT EVENING MEETING where we will conduct some Club business, have dinner, and enjoy Rotary fellowship. There is no charge to attend this meeting, but each attendee pays individually for food and beverages ordered at MoMo's. Please register yourself and your guests so that we can plan the space.

This event is open to all Rotarians and their families and guests age 21 and over. Attendance is capped at 20 people, so register early!
Rick Harrell, creator of Heroes’ Voices, and pianist Frank Johnson present a recital featuring a celebration of America's most beloved songs. There will also be guest artists - Victor Floyd and Michael Conley. All are welcome, and donations will be accepted at the door. A few volunteer Rotarians are needed at this event.
