A small group gathered this evening for the final Evening Meeting of the 2025-2026 Rotary year under the leadership of President Frank Yoke III (Development | Serra Residential Center, Inc.). President Frank called this Meeting at MoMo's to order and shared the agenda.

 

President Frank had just returned from the 2026 Rotary International Convention the day before tonight's Meeting. He brought back a lot of information and shared his experiences and photos from Taipei, Taiwan.

Rotary is built on service. While much of that service is expressed through the time we give, it can also extend to how we use our resources, relationships, and personal milestones to create impact.

 

On April 20, 2026, I had the privilege of running the Boston Marathon in support of The Rotary Foundation through Raise for Rotary. Every dollar supported Disease Prevention and Treatment, one of Rotary’s core areas of focus. Supporting Disease Prevention and Treatment made every mile feel connected to something larger than myself. Rotary’s work in this area helps stop the spread of life-threatening diseases such as polio, HIV/AIDS, and malaria, while also improving access to care and strengthening health systems in underserved communities.

 

President Frank gave an overview of the Club’s financial status. He said that both the 2026 Bike Build and Emergency Services Day resulted in black ink and that he was continuing to try and collect all past membership dues.

 

The Board tabled the Treasurer’s Report until the next meeting when Treasurer Gary Dales will be present.

 

As the 2025-2026 Rotary year comes to a close, we invite all members and friends of the Rotary Club of San Francisco to join us for a heartfelt celebration honoring our President, Frank Yoke. During this luncheon, we will recognize Frank’s dedication, leadership, and the many contributions he has made to our Club and community over the past year. Come early for the wine sale, and stay late for the after-meeting celebration.

At the inaugural meeting of our Club for the 2026-2027 term, incoming President Ozan Yasavur and his Board of Directors will be inducted. President Ozan will introduce the Rotary International theme for the year, Create Lasting Impact, and his presidential theme, Building Peace Across Differences, and discuss their significance for our Club.

Club Member James Horsman speaks to us about Artificial Intelligence (AI): how AI works and how it will make the work we do more efficient. James will share his experience with IT systems and AI productivity tools for efficiency and everyday use.

Join us for our Club's NEXT EVENING MEETING where we will conduct some Club business, have dinner, and enjoy Rotary fellowship. There is no charge to attend this meeting, but each attendee pays individually for food and beverages ordered at MoMo's. Please register yourself and your guests so that we can plan the space.
