LUNCHEON MEETING HIGHLIGHTS October 14, 2025: Club Assembly and News
President Frank Yoke III (Development | Serra Residential Center, Inc.) called the October 14, 2025 meeting to order and welcomed everyone attending either in person or via Zoom. He shared today's agenda.

Today's Visiting Rotarian was Manoj Kumar Swain from the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar, Eco, District 3262, in India. Manoj's guest was Hari Ahuja. Other guests were Mayra Alfaro Martinez, Jo Patrick, Wendy Patrick, and Monica Sather. Welcome to all!
 
Rotary Flags Exchanged
Last week, President Frank met with Rotarians Olivier and Lyse-Eva Taze from the Rotary Club of Nice in France to exchange Rotary flags. Today, President Frank exchanged Rotary flags with Manoj Kumar Swain from the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar, Eco, District 3262, in India.

SOCIAL EVENT October 22, 2025: Eat, drink, and mingle at SPARK Social
Come and grab a no-host drink and/or dinner around the Angel Island firepit at SPARK Social in San Francisco. There will be a variety of food trucks. Our Club will provide the s'mores for roasting. Public transportation is encouraged. Rotarians, guests, children, and pets are all welcome.
 
EVENING MEETING: October 23, 2025
Join us for our Club's NEXT EVENING MEETING where we will conduct some Club business, have dinner, and enjoy Rotary fellowship. There is no charge to attend this meeting, but each attendee pays individually for food and beverages ordered at MoMo's. Please register yourself and your guests so that we can plan the space.
 
 
ROTARY LUNCHEON November 4, 2025: Sean Elsbernd and SPUR
Sean Elsbernd, President and CEO of the San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR), joins us to talk about the goals of this organization. At SPUR, Sean leads the organization's efforts to advance equity-centered, data-driven public policy across San Francisco, San José, and Oakland.
 
 
BUSINESS NETWORKING: November 5, 2025
Join us for our Club's next BUSINESS NETWORKING meeting where we will have dinner and enjoy an evening of productive and fun networking. There is no charge to attend this meeting, but each attendee pays individually for food and beverages ordered at DACHA Kitchen & Bar. Please register yourself and your guests so that we can plan the space.
 
 
CLUB SOCIAL November 6, 2025: Our Rotary Club's 2025 Friendsgiving
Bring in the holiday season early by joining us for our Rotary Club's 2025 Friendsgiving with lots of food, drink, games, and Rotary fellowship. This event is open to all Rotarians from the Rotary Club of San Francisco, their families, and guests. Registration is limited to 25 people. 
 
SERVICE PROJECT November 8, 2025: Volunteering at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank
Join us to build grocery boxes for seniors, sort donations, and perform other various tasks as needed. The Food Bank continues to need your helping hands. Registration is limited to 9 volunteers; so register early! 
 
 
ROTARY LUNCHEON November 11, 2025: Bring a Veteran to Lunch and Eric Wick on the Veteran Suicide Epidemic
On this Veterans Day, we invite each member of our Club to Sponsor a Veteran for lunch. You can either bring the Veteran as your guest to the luncheon or you can sponsor a Veteran by paying for their lunch. Our guest speaker for this event is Eric Wick who will talk on the Veteran suicide epidemic.
 
 
SERVICE PROJECT November 14, 2025: 
Join RCAT, SFSU Climate HQ, and Save the Bay for a hands-on shoreline restoration event to protect wildlife habitat, improve climate resilience, and beautify our Bay. Volunteers will help plant native species, remove invasive plants, and learn about the Bay’s vital ecosystem. All ages and abilities welcome — all tools provided, no experience needed! Come make a difference for our environment and community.
 
ROTARY DEI FILM FESTIVAL November 16, 2025: Mankiller
Our November DEI Film Festival movie is Mankiller. This inspiring documentary follows the life of Wilma Mankiller, the first woman to be elected Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation. Following the screening, we will host a group discussion over a pizza and salad dinner to reflect on the film’s themes and to share perspectives on Wilma Mankiller’s legacy as a leader, activist, and changemaker.
 
 
SOCIAL EVENT November 19, 2025: Trivia Night
Get ready for a night of fun and friendly competition! Whether you are a history buff, a movie guru, or a pop culture pro, there’s a challenge for everyone. $50 per person includes the trivia, food, and drinks. There are only 6 tickets for this event; buy your ticket today!
 
Thanksgiving at The Arc: November 25, 2025
It's time for one of our most popular service projects — Thanksgiving at The Arc San Francisco! In the spirit of giving thanks, Rotarians will gather to provide a Thanksgiving feast for participants at The Arc SF. Many hands are needed to either serve or be on the clean-up team; please sign up to help. This is the only Thanksgiving celebration for many of the people we serve that day. And they are most appreciative.
