Homeless Prenatal Program Graduation Ceremony: The Joy of Giving Hope
San Francisco's Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP) with the support of the Rotary Club of San Francisco recently hosted a graduation ceremony for expectant mothers. The theme was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Families gathered with hope to celebrate their soon-to-be arrival. 

The graduation celebration kicked off with excitement as Club member Darlene Wilson from Catholic Charities in San Francisco organized fun games, bringing joy and camaraderie among the mothers. Their laughter transformed the event into a celebration of new beginnings.
 
Meanwhile, I helped with food distribution, feeling humbled by the opportunity to support these women. Handing out plates and refreshments, I felt honored to be a part of their journey, offering not just food, but a reminder that they were seen and valued.

Meet journalist and author, Sasha Vasilyuk, who will share Ukrainian stories from World War II to today. Her debut novel, Your Presence Is Mandatory, is longlisted for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize and is forthcoming in Italy, France, Germany, Israel, Finland and Brazil.

Dr. Alison Simon, Senior Director of Amtrak responsible for implementing the vision of rail transport for California, will share and connect the dots between transportation and sustainability.
 
 
 
SERVICE OPPORTUNITY October 19, 2024: Walk to End Alzheimer's
Join the members of the Rotary Club of San Francisco, their families, and their friends for the Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Preregistration for the Walk is required. After the Walk, there is an optional lunch.
 
SPECIAL EVENT October 22, 2024: Emergency Services Day
On Emergency Services Day, the Rotary Club of San Francisco annually honors the outstanding men and women who keep our City safe—the heroes of the Fire Department, Police Department, Sheriff’s Office, Coast Guard, and Paramedics. Come and be moved by their incredible stories, show your appreciation for our local heroes, and enjoy a delightful lunch as you mingle with some of San Francisco's finest. This is one of the most anticipated luncheons of the Rotary year—don't miss out!
 
 
EVENING MEETING: October 24, 2024
Join us for our Club's NEXT EVENING MEETING where we will conduct some Club business, have dinner, and enjoy Rotary fellowship. There is no charge to attend this meeting, but each attendee pays individually for food and beverages ordered at MoMo's. Please register yourself and your guests so that we can plan the space.
