The Trustees of Rotary Service, Inc. met on September 24, 2024 via Zoom. President Bob Hermann called the meeting to order at 4:03 PM. Nancy Graydon, Secretary, recorded the minutes. 

 

In attendance were Stephen Geisheker, Tim Hornbecker, Margaret Miley, Maureen O’Shea, President Bob Hermann, Immediate Past President Sunny Singh, Nancy Graydon, Christopher Wiseman, and President-Elect Frank Yoke, constituting a quorum. Absent were: Dan Davies, Bridget Mahoney, Darlene Wilson, Ozan Yasavur, Gary Dales, and Todd St Vrain. Our guests were Mary Liu and Executive Secretary Dora Dye.

 

The Trustees approved the July 23, 2024 minutes.

 

There were no minutes from August 20, 2024 due to the District Governor's visit on that day.

 

President Bob Hermann, Jr. (Information Technology: Administration | Retired) called the meeting to order at 12:16 PM. As today was Election Day, he asked the audience if everyone had voted.

 

Today's Visiting Rotarian was Jorma Rättö from the Rotary Club of Hyvinkää in Finland. Joining Jorma was his partner, Taina. Other guests were Jennifer Jaime, Emily Matey, Eric Sleigh, Christina Smith, and Chan Tan. Our speaker was Aditi Desai. Welcome to all!

Our November movie is Free the Mind, a documentary that explores how the practices of Buddhist monks, including meditation and yoga, can physically modify the brains of veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress and children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. This event is open to Rotarians, their friends, and family.

Many hands are needed to either serve or be on the clean-up team; please sign up to help. This is the only Thanksgiving celebration for many of the people we serve that day.
