As your Treasurer, I will be making distributions to TRF and SFRF from the amounts collected for the Gift of Giving Campaign (split 50/50 between TRF and SFRF, unless otherwise specified) and for the Bru Brunnier Fellowship (100% to SFRF) on December 19, 2025 so that TRF and SFRF will receive the funds before the end of the year.
It takes a couple of days for the funds to be received after they are donated through the above link, so, please submit any donations you intend to make soon.

President Frank and today's audience showed great appreciation today through gifts and praises to the staff at the Hotel Nikko who serve us all year at our lunch meetings and events.
Since 1987, the Rotary Club of San Francisco has honored members of the City’s emergency services. Emergency Services Day is one of our signature events. In 2026, we will be recognizing once again the important and heroic work by members of the San Francisco Police Department, San Francisco Fire Department, San Francisco Sheriff's Office, and the United States Coast Guard — Pacific Area.
This year instead of holding the event at a Club luncheon, we will have an evening event on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Marines' Memorial Club and Hotel in San Francisco that will be open to members of all the Rotary clubs in San Francisco as well as to the public and community-based organizations in San Francisco.

Our Club will celebrate two holidays: Día de los Reyes (Three Kings' Day) and Día de la Candelaria (Candlemas). Both days mark the end of the Christmas season in Mexico and other Latin American cultures. Steve Adami, MPA, will talk about social justice and reform in San Francisco. He is the Executive Director of the San Francisco's Salvation Army's The Way Out, a recovery-focused homeless initiative.

Our January DEI Film Festival movie is The Long Walk Home. This powerful drama follows two women in Montgomery, Alabama during the 1955–56 Bus Boycott, one Black and one white, whose lives become intertwined during one of the most pivotal moments of the Civil Rights Movement. Following the screening, we will host a group discussion over beverages, snacks, and pizza. This is a great opportunity to reflect on the themes of the film and the continued relevance of the Civil Rights Movement today.
Join us for our Club's NEXT EVENING MEETING where we will conduct some Club business, have dinner, and enjoy Rotary fellowship. There is no charge to attend this meeting, but each attendee pays individually for food and beverages ordered at MoMo's. Please register yourself and your guests so that we can plan the space.
Join the Rotary Club of San Francisco's Social Committee for a performance of the Tony and Grammy Award winning musical, The Book of Mormon, on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at the Orpheum Theater. The performance is a 1 PM show. Dinner will be arranged after the performance. There are only 15 tickets for this performance in the Orchestra section.
